Overview:

Firstly found in 1966 under the Management Department, the bachelor of science degree (management) was offered in that period. The Department has separated from the Management department in 1992 and offers the bachelor degree in business administration (Finance).

The Department also offers the Master of Arts in Applied Finance Degree. The course takes two years for both regular and young executive programs and the student can choose to complete the degree by doing the thesis or independent study. At present, the Department has 9 full time academic staffs, 3 of which hold a position of associate professors, 3 of which hold a position of assistant professors, and the rest are senior lecturers. 6 of these full time staffs hold the doctoral degree. At present, the Department is well known for their academic service for both public such as the Ministry of Agriculture and co-Operative and private organization, namely a few Siam Commercial Bank, Krung Thai Bank, SME Bank. Lately, the Department resumes to research service with the World Bank and Department of Fisheries. More research projects are expected to come in the near future.
